The last thing Dunfermline needed after losing the relegation clash against Livingston last week was a trip to Glasgow to face Celtic but they've got it.
Dunfermline will want to bounce back from the defeat at the hands of Livingston as soon as possible but the odds aren't in their favour in this one, the bookies have them at odds of 16/1, you'd have to be a brave person to put your money on them.
Dunfermline have a very poor record against Celtic, they have met 48 times at Celtic Park in total and have won only five times, the last victory coming in the 2003/04 season when Dunfermline shocked Celtic to win 2-1.
Of the 48 games played at Celtic Park, Celtic have won 42 of them and there has been 1 draw.
If Dunfermline get a win here it will be a MAJOR shock, especially going on current form
Dunfermline boss Jim Leishman on the Pars going bottom: 'We are bottom of the league and we will see what these boys are made of now,'
Celtic star Stephen Pearson on battling for a first team place: 'I just need to keep knuckling down and hope I get the nod. I have two-and-a-half years left. Of course I will look to go if I am not playing.'
Celtic have a striker crisis with Maciej Zurawski and Chris Sutton rated as doubtful and Shaun Maloney and Craig Beattie are also out injured.
That leaves them with John Hartson the only fit striker.
Probably the best player in the SPL so far this season, the midfielder is in fantastic form and is very highly rated.
Dunfermline have some major injury worries with Scott Thomson, Lee Makel, Darren Young, Simon Donnelly and Scott Morrison all ruled out for certain.
Meanwhile Liam Horsted is a doubt.
The former Celtic striker will be out to prove a point against his old club.
Last meeting: Dunfermline 0 Celtic 4, SPL, Aug 28th
Pars record at Celtic Park: P48 W5 D1 L42 F44 A147
The ref for this match is Craig MacKay.
Sorry Pars fans, I can't see anything other than a Celtic victory. I'll go for 3-0 Celtic.
